FED: Fire ban on Fraser Island
Fraser Island campers will only be enjoying cold or gas-cooked Christmas meals tomorrow.
The Queensland Parks and wildlife Service has prohibited the lighting of fires on the
Fraser Island Recreation Area, including the beaches, until further notice.
Great Sandy District Manager ROB ALLAN says there'll be a high to very high fire danger
over the next few days, with temperatures forecast in the 30s and little chance of rain.
