Aust dlr weaker ahead of key inflation data

SYDNEY, April 28 AAP - Australia's currency weakened overnight in quiet trade ahead
of inflation data that could prompt an interest rate rise by the Reserve Bank of Australia
(RBA).

Overnight, the currency reached a high of $US0.5905 and traded down to 0.5870, near
the 18-month low of 0.5867 reached the previous night.

At 0700 AEST, it was at $US0.5872/77 from 0.5902/07 at the close of the local session yesterday.
