WA:Man glassed at Perth nightclub

PERTH, Aug 8 AAP - A man may be permanently scarred after being glassed in an apparently
unprovoked attack at a Perth nightclub.

Police say the victim was standing near the dance floor at Sunda the Ambar nightclub
in the city's CBD at about 3am (WST) when he was struck in face with a glass object.

The man, 22, from Kingsley in Perth's north, suffered extensive lacerationS to the
left side of his face and neck.

Nightclub staff assisted the man until he was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital by ambulance
for immediate medical attention.

He underwent surgery on Sunday and as yet has been unable to talk to police.

Police said either a glass or bottle was used in what they believed was an unprovoked attack.
