LaCrosse Footwear Names Chief Executive Officer.

LA CROSSE, Wis., Dec. 4 /PRNewswire/ --

The Board of Directors of LaCrosse Footwear, Inc. (Nasdaq: BOOT) today announced that Joseph P. Schneider has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Since August 2000, Mr. Schneider has served as the Company's interim President and Chief Executive Officer, a role he was elected to following the resignation of his predecessor.

Mr. Schneider, who is a director of the Company, served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Danner Shoe Manufacturing Company (a Company subsidiary) prior to being named interim President and Chief Executive Officer.

"I am looking forward to working with the Board and management team of the Company to successfully implement the Company's strategy focusing on marketing, combined with flexibility in sourcing products domestically or offshore as circumstances warrant.
