QLD:Qld govt staff to stop work over pay
Government workers aiding the reconstruction of Queensland's flood-hit roads will stop
work today in a dispute over pay.
White-collar staff from the Transport and Main Roads department will walk off the job
for up to five hours from midday, as part of state-wide, protected industrial action.
The action will affect planning for road construction, transport and other projects.
Unions say the state government's refusing to negotiate on a fair and reasonable three-year
collective agreement.
